The Atlanta Braves have turned around there organization very quickly in the past 5 years by reloading on prospects and allowing the team to underperform compared to Atlanta's reputation of always competing in the NL East. Now Atlanta's prospects are coming into the league and ready to make an impact. Atlanta showed some of there prospects last year with Ozzie Albies. Ozzie was a highly touted prospect ranked 29 in the MLB 100 Prospect list 2016 being a savy switch hitting 2nd basemen with above average speed and defense. Ozzie's strengths are his hitting ability to have solid contact over the whole field show no pull-side favor, low strike out rate, great speed on the base pads, a quick glove, good range, and strong enough arm to make the throw from 2nd and SS. Ozzie got his opportunity to play last season for the last 2 months. It didn't take until the end of August to start getting into his rhythm which got him to bat 277 in August, but then dominated all of September batting just under 300. He ended batting 287 with 5 triples, 6 hr's, only struck out 36 times in 217 at-bats, and was 8 for 9 in stolen bases in 57 games. Ozzie's only 21 and is named the starting 2nd basemen for the Braves in 2018. Already Ozzie has shown a lot of poise and promise with his talent and skills he displayed last year, but it's a new season and the season is always long enough to where you'll have your hot and cold streaks. The only weakness I see in Ozzie is to how will he adjust to the league before the league adjust to him. The league will adjust to him sometime in the season and it will all depend on how Ozzie will handle adjusting to show and when his adjustments will come around. It is a struggle for every player to perform at there highest the whole season especially for a 21 year old with high expectations. The Braves are still not in the mix of being an playoff team, but is on the rise and with Ozzie starting so young we can see him being a x-factor in the future for Atlanta's success. I will project that with Ozzie's upside and the opportunity that he will be given if healthy will be him batting around 275-295 with 12 triples, 10-18 home runs, and 25-40 stolen bases. The futures looking bright in Hot Lanta and so is Ozzie Albies career. Let's hope for the best with Ozzie and that he can help jump start the Braves organization again to there NL East dominance.
